Japan, land of quirky culture, delicious food, and incredible complexions. Japan is well known for geishas and women with beautiful complexion, porcelain and soft skin. Their skin ages twice as slow than a westerners’ skin.
1. Rice water
Japanese women use homemade beauty tips for glowing skin like rice water to make their skin smoother and clearer. Place one cup of rice in two cups of cold water and leave for twenty minutes. After twenty minutes you need to mix the rice and water for a while and then separate the water from the rice. Keep the rice water in a bottle (but don’t throw the rice). Soak a cotton with this water and apply with care over the skin and neck.
To make a face pack for glowing skin soak a strong tissue or paper towel with the water rice, and apply over the face and neck. Leave it on for approx. 20 minutes. Your skin should be as soft as a baby’s.
Now with the rice we are going to make a body exfoliator. Add enough water to the rice and blend. Apply over the body in circular motions. Leave for 5 minutes and rinse with cold or warm water but don’t use any kind or soap or gel.
2. Wakame Kelp
Wakame Kelp is a kind of seaweed from Japan and often included in their diet. It helps to burn fatty tissue, purify the blood and help to eliminate toxic substances. It is great to improve hair and skin. It has anti aging properties for the skin supporting collagen production and helping to preserve hyaluronic acid which diminishes as we get older. Research has proved that skin care products containing Wakame Kelp help the skin look younger.
Matcha, in fact, has always been good for the skin and has been used that way for centuries. Today, thousands of people have
rediscovered this knowledge and are now rejuvenating their face with a matcha mask. In an effort to explain why so many are now
using matcha as a facial mask, here are the two benefits of matcha for skin care. If you want to try a natural face/body/hand lotion with antioxidant minerals and seaweed have a look at Natural Vibrancy Rejuvenating Lotion. It is recommended for sensitive and dry skin and won’t leave the skin feeling or looking greasy.
Matcha powder has anti-inflammatory properties that reduce the redness associated with chronic skin conditions such as rosacea and even acne. It is gentle enough for all skin types and brings soothing relief from these issues. Let’s face it. This is one of the biggest reasons you take care of your skin. Matcha stimulates elastin production to add volume to the skin. It also protects
the skin against free radicals that cause sun damage, age spots, dry skin, and yes, wrinkles.
3. Skin fast once a week
Another face glowing tip that Japanese women use is to skip skin care products at night, at least once a week. Just cleanse you face thoroughly and don’t apply any moisturizer or serum. Go to bed like that and in the morning gently wash your face using only a splash of warm water.
Adzuki beans have been used in Japanese skin care regimens for
centuries. Powdered azduki beans are the perfect exfoliator for gently buffing away dull, dry skin and giving your face a fresh, healthy glow.
Adzuki will remove dead skin cells that can cause the skin to
look old and dull. The gentle exfoliator helps to maintain a
younger looking skin by invigorating the dermis while
moisturising to give a smoother and beautifully clear complexion.
7. Sake Isn’t Just for Drinking, It Might Just be The Secret to Looking Forever Young!
Favored as the national beverage of Japan, sake is a rice wine that also has incredible benefits for skin — like hydrating, brightening and evening skin tone. Unfiltered sake contains
unfermented rice particles that are great for providing gentle exfoliation to smooth skin.
